SEAE - Spanish Society of Organic Agriculture and Agroecology
SEAE, Sociedad Española de Agricultura Ecológica y Agroecología, is a non-profit organization founded in 1992 as a scientific society to become the umbrella organization of the Spanish organic sector. It aims to unite the efforts of organic operators, technicians, researchers, and organizations, to generate and disseminate knowledge about organic agriculture, and to promote organic-agroecological food systems and sustainable rural development in order to meet the current environmental and social challenges.
Role in the project
SEAE's role in the OH-FINE project is to coordinate the activities aimed at accompanying farmers in the conversion to organic farming through training, capacity building, and the production of information materials and cross-fertilization with other farmers, foreseen in work package 5. SEAE will also coordinate with FiBL Switzerland the communication and dissemination activities, leading work package 10. It also trains the Spanish organic, conventional or in-conversion farmers participating in the project.
